We choose to make our drinking straws out of Corn starch polymers, Bio-PE, Bio-Mass Composite Polymers and Paper as alternatives to traditional plastic made from fossil base. The life cycle assessment shows that bioplastics like PLA need less manufacturing energy and water and generate less waste while Bio-PE material will have negative impact on the carbon emission. In contrast, petroleum-based plastics use more energy and water and emit large amounts of carbon and solid waste. Choosing products made from plants, not petroleum, conserves oil resources and supports cleaner production while protecting our health.
